A curated list of 20+ things to do in Atlanta with kids when you visit

We love exploring Atlanta and I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything so I made a list of things to do with kids! I’m sharing it in this blog post, along with a custom google map of all the suggestions so you can see what’s close to wherever you are. Please leave a comment if I’ve missed any that you’ve enjoyed! Often when we travel we’re mixing learning and fun, so these options reflect that blend.

As always, double check if you have an AHS botanical garden, an AZA zoo, or ASTC museum membership that participates in reciprocity. Other than that, Atlanta does have a Citypass that can save you money if you’re going to multiple places! It includes Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca Cola, and Zoo Atlanta plus choice of Fernbank Museum, College Football Hall of Fame, or National Center for Civil and Human Rights.

We’ve been to Zoo Atlanta several times over the years, my kids love it!

1. Activate! Atlanta– an interactive, collaborative game center with physical challenges and puzzles [check out their website here]

17. Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Park- a National Park Service site with a visitor center and historic sites commemorating the civil rights leader’s life & work [check out their website here]
18. Medieval Times Dinner Show– a jousting show with dinner [check out their website here]
19. Museum of Illusions- an ‘edutainment’ experience looking at optical illusions [check out their website here]
20. Noguchi Playscape– a modern-art inspired playground ; there is also a picture book about the artist, ‘A Boy Named Isamu: A Story of Isamu Noguchi‘ [check out their website here]
